Figure Skating
I am an adult skater. I began skating when I was 16, but didn’t start taking the official USFS tests until I was 21. Right now I skate recreationally and continue to take tests. I am currently working on the Juvenile MIF and Preliminary FS tests.
I am a member of the DC Edge Synchronized Skating Team (http://www.dcedgesynchro.org/). I just joined in 2008 and just completed my second season with the team. Synchro is fun and challenging, and really pushes me to finesse the basic skills of crossovers, turns and various footwork patterns.
I am also a coach. I teach basic skills group and private lessons for children and adults.
